The shared boats leave you on the pebble beach for a few hours. The water is cold and clear. Children swim in the shallows. A wooden footbridge crosses to the restaurants and the sunbeds. Lunch is trout or grilled meat at the riverside places, paid there, not to the boat.
Kayaks sit on the dock and are hired on the spot. A zipline also runs over the river. Neither is sold with the Rozafa ticket. June, July and August are the full months. May to October is when the swim is realistic. In a low-water week the boat may stop a few hundred metres short of the usual beach.
